If you see an unknown/unfamiliar or out-of-state phone call...answer it.
Sometimes they call you rather than email. Yes...I know that emailing someone would be taking the more professional and formal route, but not everyone handles business accordingly...or the same.
My interviewer never sent an email + he had actually called me a few times in one day but I ignored it because it was an out of state number. Later that same day, I finally called the number back and what a surprise...to say the least.
Just thought I'd share that because I've noticed a lot of people stating that they're waiting to be contacted through email. Parents you may want to alert your students to start answering unfamiliar phone numbers & likewise to current + future applicants.
Hopefully this will ease a few nerves.
